Banner Carousel
A Banner Carousel with the “drop shadow” and “left/right arrows.”
The Banner Carousel pod is a way to create rotating promotional content. It can help you inform your customers about news, new products, and more. You can build a Banner Carousel in a Page Section or Grid Cell.
Banner Carousel template
- Internal Name: This title will not be visible on the website; it is only used for organizing your content.
- Share: If you flag this pod, your chosen content and settings will be saved to be added easily throughout your website. *If you need to change this pod, you can adjust it in one instance, and it will automatically be updated throughout the site.
Pods tab
You will add your slides by clicking “Add a line.” In the next section, we’ll discuss how to make a slide.
Options tab
- Drop Shadow: A shadow will appear around your Banner Carousel. You can see the “Drop Shadow” in the example at the top.
- Hide left/right arrows: The left and right arrows are automatically set, but you can flag this to disable them.
Banner Carousel Slides
Once you “Add a line” under the Pods tab, your only pod component choice will be a Banner Carousel Slide.
In the Banner Carousel Slide, you can add an image, title, content, and a button with its linking URL (the entire Banner Carousel Slide will be clickable and link to that URL).
It’s easy to rearrange, add, and remove slides, allowing you to keep your customers updated.
Tips for your best Banner Carousel
- Images are cropped to a 7:5 ratio and are responsive. This pod also has preset styling with an angle on the bottom right of the image. Keep these elements in mind when choosing your photo.
- Keep the text copy short and straightforward. The purpose of a carousel banner is to direct your customer to the page to learn more.

Save and publish
To see your updated content on your website, you need to publish your page. In the Websites App, click on the Publish tab. Once there, click the Create button. On the next screen, you will select the website you want the page to publish to (if you have multiple websites) and check the Pages checkbox. Click Save at the top, then click Start.
