Mailing List Subscription Box

Use the Mailing List Subscription Box pod to collect customers’ emails for newsletters and invitations!

Before adding the Mailing List Subscription Box pod, we need to create a Mailing List.

Creating a Mailing List

In the Mass Email App, click the Mailing Lists page under the Mailing Lists tab. Then click the Create button in the upper left corner.

  1. Mailing List: This is an internal name for your newsletter.
  2. Is Public: Flagging this allows the mailing list to be accessible by recipients in the subscription management page, allowing them to update their subscription preferences.

Once this is filled out, click the Create button. Your mailing list is now saved. You can have multiple mailing lists.

Adding the Mailing List Subscription Box pod

Once you have created a Mailing List, we can return to the Website App and add the Mailing List Subscription Box pod to your page. The Mailing List Subscription Box pod is a trunk-level pod.

  1. Title: Your text in the Mailing List Subscription Box.
  2. Google Analytics Event Label: Add a tag for this mailing list to see its related activity on your Google Analytics account.
  3. Mailing List: Choose your mailing list. You can have multiple mailing lists with separate contacts.

Save and publish

To see your updated content on your website, you need to publish your page. In the Websites App, click on the Publish tab. Once there, click the Create button. On the next screen, you will select the website you want the page to publish to (if you have multiple websites) and check the Pages checkbox. Click Save at the top, then click Start.

Using your Mailing List Subscription Box

Once you set up a “Mailing List” and have the Mailing List Subscription Box pod on your website, you will start collecting emails and will have to send out mailings.

When a customer provides their email, a thank you message appears. The subscribed customers are shown in your “Mailing Lists.”

In the example below, this Mailing List has one contact (a customer who subscribed), and one mailing has been sent to this list.

Create your Mailings

You can create your mailings from the Mass Email App. On the Mailings page, click the Create button.

There are multiple templates to choose from.

You can style and format your mailing with different template blocks. From here, you can also select which mailing list this mailing will be sent to. Once your mailing is ready, you can send a test, schedule when it will go out, or send it out now!
