Highlight key information in your hamburger menu with pods.

This example shows an image in a Text pod within the hamburger menu.

Adding Menu Pods

To add pods to your hamburger menu, select your website from the Website App. Then select the “Layout” tab. Below, you can see the Menu Pods section.

To add a pod, you will first need to assign a name to it. Select “Add a line” and add a name for your pod, then select “Create”.

After you name and create your pod, an icon will appear to the right. Click on the icon to open a pop-up of pod options.

The pod options available to place in your menu are:

Be sure to click the “Select” button to continue. Populate the pod with your content and select “Save”.

Now, you can select the location for this pod under the “Position Within Menu” section.

There are four position options to select from for your pod.

  • Top: This will be right at the top of your menu, above the “Sign In/ Account” section and below the close icon
  • Sign in, Below: This is below the “Sign In/ Account” section, above the categories.
  • Categories, Below: Below the categories and above the manual menu links.
  • Bottom: This is at the very bottom of the menu.

Click the “Save” button at the top left of the window to see your set choices.

Examples

For the example below, I created an image that is 320 pixels wide by 80 pixels high—a simple rectangle with text. I added the image to the Text pod and used Markdown to make the image into a link. This pod is located within the “Sign in, Below” section.

In the following example, I used a Text pod (with 10px padding, created using Markdown) and the Social Media Icons pod. These pods are located within the “Categories, Below” section.

Save and publish

Once you set up your pod, click “Save” at the top left, and you can even publish your changes right from here with the “Publish Now” button.

From this pop-up, check the Menus checkbox and click “Start”.
