Updating your footer
Standard footer
Examples of a standard formatted footer.
We use a standard layout when building footers, which gives customers the links and information they need and ensures the layout works on multiple screen sizes. However, you may need to edit these links. To do so, go to the Websites App and click on the website you want to edit.
Most of our footers are set up in four columns. You can easily adjust links or text by finding the corresponding column in the Website App. Under the “Layout” tab, scroll down to the “Footer Pods” section.
The next page will have a Grid pod and a Text pod.
Click the Grid pod to see your footer’s setup. Click on any Grid Cell pod to view the contents and make necessary changes.
You can also change the copyright information in the Text pod on the prior screen.
Save & publish
You need to publish your changes to see your updated content on your website. In the Websites App, click on the Publish tab. Once there, click the Create button. On the next screen, you will select the website you want the page to publish (if you have multiple websites) and check the Pages checkbox. Click Save at the top, then click Start.
