Track lot consumption across manufacturing process in Odoo

Many manufacturing businesses need detailed visibility into where and how product lots are consumed. That’s why we’ve developed the Product Lot Consumption Report—a new feature in Odoo that precisely tracks lot consumption across your manufacturing process.
What Does This Feature Do?
The Product Lot Consumption Report allows users to:
- View lot consumption details over time
- See where a specific lot was used, how much was consumed, and the downstream products it helped create.
- Track consumption chains
- For example, if Lot 123 was used to make widgets, which were later used in another manufacturing order, you can trace that full flow.
- Monitor lots with expiration dates
- Lots’ expiration dates are also listed in the report, allowing you to accurately track when those lots expire.
How This Feature Works.
- In the manufacturing model, go to Reporting > Lot Consumption Report >
-
Enter a product and select from the list of lots related to that product, or enter a desired lot number.
-
Select the desired start and end dates for the report range, then click “View Report”.
The report will show a list view of information related to how the lot was consumed, such as:
- Date
- The date that the “Source” MO consumed items in the lot
- Source
- The original Mo that consumed items in the lot
- Component Product
- The product that the Source MO created
- Component Lot
- The lot that the “component Product” went into
- Component Qty/UoM
- The amount of “component product” produced
- Product Produced
- The product that the “component product” was consumed to create
- Produced Lot
- The lot that the “product produced” went into.
- Produced Qty/UoM
- The amount of the “product produced” that was created.

Customer Product Aliases in Odoo
Many companies sell products to customers who use their own product codes or descriptions especially in wholesale, distribution, and manufacturing. Until now, Odoo's standard functionality only supported vendor specific product aliases on purchase orders. Steersman has extended this capability with the new "Customer Product Aliases" feature, which allows product allies for customers on sales orders as well.

Prevent Duplicate Customer PO on Sales Orders in Odoo
We’ve added a new feature to help prevent sales teams from accidentally duplicating a customer’s purchase order, a critical need for many of our clients who rely on customer issued PO references to manage order approvals and payment processing. This feature introduces automatic checks and interactive warnings when users attempt to reuse the same Customer Reference (PO number) for the same commercial partner.
