CardPointe Terminal Payment Integration

Steersman Odoo Feature: CardPointe Terminal Payment Integration utilizes Fiserv’s CardPointe PCI-DSS compliant integrated payment solution for card-present payment transactions, which supports EMV (chip), MSR (magnetic stripe), and NFC (contactless) payment methods. This allows distributors with multiple sales channels to process payment information through physical terminals for in-store sales.

Processing payments using a CardPointe terminal

To process a payment, make sure your terminal is in customer mode. Then in Odoo go to an unpaid invoice or a pending sales order, and click the CHARGE button.

If needed, specify a payment amount other than the expected amount due, select to pay multiple invoices at once, and/or apply open credit memos to the invoice.

Under the ‘New Payment’ tab, select the ‘Credit Card Present (powered by CardPointe)’ option.

• Print Paid Invoices: When selected, will auto-print the invoice PDF to the user’s workstation’s PDF printer
• Print Receipt: When selected, will auto-print a receipt to the user’s workstation PDF printer

Once you are ready to process the payment, click the START TRANSACTION button at the bottom of the screen, and the customer will then be able to use the terminal to make a payment.

If the payment is successful, the invoice will be marked as PAID and the funds will be routed to CardPointe’s respective payment journal. If the payment is unsuccessful, Odoo will display a visible alert on the screen and leave the invoice unpaid.
