The Challenges – Before Implementing Odoo
W&B relied on QuickBooks for its accounting needs; however, the software proved insufficient for inventory management. W&B is a growing company that wants to expand further by adding more warehouses, and the QuickBooks software couldn’t keep up.
The Solution – Odoo Implementation
Steersman’s Odoo implementation now manages inventory and accounting for W&B. With Steersman’s Odoo setup, W&B can efficiently manage multiple warehouses and continue to expand. Steersman created custom optimizations to help with a variety of needs. W&B also uses Odoo’s point of sale (POS) in its retail store.
The Results
Steersman-run Odoo handles all purchase/sale orders and inventory/delivery processing and creates accounting entries automatically. Odoo’s POS system makes it easy to process in-store orders.

Some of the custom modules W&B uses include:
- Braintree payments – Payment processing for credit cards and ACH payments
- PIM – Used to manage product information better
- Shipping workstations – Define printers for documents and labels to print from Odoo directly to the office printers
- Report runner – Create and send multiple pre-configured, automatically scheduled reports, allowing management to monitor operations within the organization.
- Commissions calculator – A report showing customer payments received within a date range and invoices to which they were applied, with totals shown for different categories of products on invoices that may have different commissions.
