Steersman’s POS Style Sales Order Management feature provides retail chains with the ability to check out and charge customers directly on the sales order by taking payments directly from a card terminal in-store or using existing payment tokens to process an order.

This feature was primarily designed for B2B customer sales, where products can be delivered to customers in various ways, depending on product availability, available shipment methods, and warehouse pickup locations. For example, when the product is ready to be picked up from a showroom, a warehouse associate is required to retrieve the item from stock to give it to the customer, but the product may not be available. It will be dropshipped from the vendor, or should be purchased and brought to the warehouse before being delivered to the customer, or the product will be brought to a special loading area for the customer to pick up. (Example: Customer will pickup several pallets of Red Brick at the loading dock)

The POS Style Sale Order Management feature by Steersman provides point-of-sale checkout capabilities (Taking a manual card payments, taking payments through a card terminal and creating/saving payment tokens), configurable delivery routes so that a product on a single order can be delivered to customers depending on their chosen delivery methods, and provide the sales team visibility into product availability and stock levels across multiple warehouses directly on the sales orders.

Manage Shipping Stations, Printers (PDF and Labels), and Payment Acquirers

Steersman’s Workstations: POS Combined with PDF and Label Printing Capabilities feature allows users to select a “Workstation”, which can be configured to:

  • Specify which credit card terminal will process a customer’s transaction
  • Specify which workstations are allowed to collect payment, what journals will be used, and how the money should be routed.
  • Specify which PDF printer will print documents (invoices, delivery slips, and picking slips)
  • Specify which label printer will print shipping labels or barcode labels

Steersman workstation module allows users to print directly to printers (Regular PDF printers or Zebra-type printers) without needing a Raspberry Pi device and send transactions directly to card terminals (via NMI’s gateway).
